Committee Members Wanted!

Concerned Friends is seeking skilled and passionate volunteers to join our Committees.

Concerned Friends Board of Directors is seeking Committee members who have a strong sense of volunteerism, who play a leadership role in the communities we serve, and who demonstrate knowledge and an active interest in the long-term care sector. Making real and lasting change requires the contributions, expertise, and commitment of everyone – now is an exciting time to be part of that change.

We are currently recruiting members for the following committees which report to the Board of Directors:

Policy and Advocacy Committee – Leads Concerned Friends’ efforts to raise public awareness and guide government policy and funding decisions for Ontario’s long-term care home system. The Committee works in collaboration with members and other partners to identify issues, develop positions and recommendations, and initiate various activities or campaigns to support this work. This Committee meets 6 times per year or as needed to address important issues as they arise.

Outreach Committee – Responsible for developing  strategies and supporting materials to reach and engage current and prospective members and donors as well as the general public. This Committee meets 6 times per year or as needed.

Committee Members are appointed by the Board and are eligible to remain on a committee for one year, after which time they may be reappointed or resign. Committee members are active volunteers and will require a time commitment outside of regular meetings.

Interested members may submit their completed  Concerned Friends Committee Expression of Interest to: info@concernedfriends.ca.
