Our 42nd Annual General Meeting

zoom meeting

Last week, we had the immense pleasure of hosting Concerned Friends members at our 42nd Annual General Meeting. This grassroots organization began when a small but mighty group of concerned citizens banded together to find ways to create better outcomes for long-term care residents.

Despite decades passing, there is still a need for Concerned Friends to amplify the voices of long-term care home residents. We know the demand for long-term care beds is slated to increase dramatically over the next 10 years. There is no time like the present to work toward the critical systemic changes that current and future LTCH residents deserve.

This year, the activities undertaken by the Concerned Friends board, committees, program teams and part-time staff reinforced our organization’s commitment to build internal capacity, create sustainability, expand our reach, raise greater awareness of LTC needs and push forward policy and measures that improve outcomes for LTC residents.

We are grateful for the intrepid and resilient volunteers who have led this organization this year and every year. If you are not yet a member, we would love to have you join our community.
